The project
A small piece of the street turned into a Miami landmark.
The installation began with a compact mirrored-flamingo drawing in hot pink, yellow, and black. Repeating and rotating that illustration created a lively pattern that could wrap around the functional shape of the parking pay station.
The turquoise base made the flamingos visible from down the block, while the hand-drawn pattern connected naturally with the color, murals, and visual energy of its Wynwood surroundings.
